Congratulates the Lake County Coroner's Office for receiving the 2024 Life Changer Award for Outstanding Teams from the Gift of Hope Organ and Tissue Network.

Recognizes Coroner Jennifer Banek and her team for collaborating with Gift of Hope to increase organ and tissue donations and save lives.

Highlights the implementation of an electronic interface between the Lake County Coroner's Office and Gift of Hope that allows immediate organ and tissue screening when deceased persons' information is entered into a portal.

Notes that in 2023, the Lake County Coroner's Office made 148 referrals to Gift of Hope resulting in 24 successful organ and tissue donors, whose contributions benefited over 600 lives.

Documents that as of May 30, 2024, the office has referred 60 additional cases resulting in 11 tissue donors.
