Congratulates Jeff Fougerousse on his retirement from the Vernon Hills Park District after dedicating over 40 years to Illinois parks and recreation.

Recognizes his 15-year tenure as executive director of Vernon Hills Park District (since 2009) and prior service as executive director of Morton Grove Park District (2000-2009) and superintendent of Recreation & Facilities (1987-2000).

Acknowledges his success securing OSLAD, PARC, and Capital grants that grew the district's revenue and led to major expansions including Lakeview Fitness Center, Turtle Creek Waterpark splash pad, skate park, and new maintenance facility.

Highlights his leadership roles in professional organizations including IPRA board chairman (1999 and 2019), NRPA membership since 1986, and Chicagoland Park Directors' Association chairman (2001).

Notes his awards including NRPA Gold Medal (2021) and IAPD Honored Professional of the Year (2022), along with his Master of Business Administration from Aurora University and Bachelor of Science from Illinois State University.
