Daniel Joseph "Dan" Nuessen of Quincy died on September 22, 2024, and the Illinois Senate offers condolences to his family and loved ones.

Co-founded Quincy Metal Fabricators with his brother David and father Carl in 1982, serving as president and CEO until retiring in 2022.

Helped establish vocational course criteria at John Wood Community College to prepare students for high-tech industrial positions.

Served on boards for the Quincy Business and Technology Center, United Way of Adams County, Denman Services, and Spring Lake Estates Association.

Survived by his wife Kate, daughters Bethany and Alexis, three grandchildren, and extended family including his brother C. David Nuessen.
