Illinois Senate expresses condolences for the death of William Fredrick "Bill" Nicholson of Cordova, who passed away on September 15, 2024

Nicholson was born December 20, 1927, in Hillsdale, graduated from Hillsdale High School in 1946, and served in the United States Coast Guard

Worked for Riverdale schools (1955-1978), John Deere Harvester (1978-1982), and United Township High School as building and grounds supervisor (1984-1993)

Was a member of Cordova American Legion and Erie RC Club; enjoyed tool shows and woodworking in his garage

Survived by wife Patricia, four children, three stepchildren, four grandchildren, and sister Sally Nicholson
