Jann Alberta Mae Beauchamp passed away on October 18, 2024, at age 92 after being born in Chicago on December 7, 1931.

She earned an associate degree from Triton College, a Bachelor of Arts from Dominican University (formerly Rosary College), and a Master of Business Administration, working as an administrative assistant at Dominican University from 1972 to 1983 and as adjunct faculty at Triton College from 1985 to 2002.

She served on the Proviso Family Service and Mental Health Board from 1977 to 1998, the Proviso Township High School District 209 school board beginning in 1991, and as a Village of Bellwood trustee from 1995 to 2003.

She was a charter member of the National Museum of African American History and Culture in Washington, D.C. in 2012 and received the Marquis Who's Who in America Award as an educator and information scientist twice in her 90s.

She is survived by three children, nine grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren, and was a devoted member of St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church in Forest Park for 55 years.
