Lori Jamae Wilcox, born October 29, 1976, passed away on October 10, 2024, as a combat veteran who enlisted in the U.S. Army at age 17 and participated in Operation Joint Guard in Bosnia.

Served as the first elected City Clerk of Chicago Heights across three terms ending in 2023, and was elected committeeman of the Bloom Township Democrats in 2018, becoming the second woman and youngest person to hold that role.

Founded and served as CEO of Resilience Unveiled: Revive, Renew & Revamp (R34u), an initiative supporting women in service, and authored books including "Broken and Left for Dead" and "Secret Sauce to Wealth."

Earned a Doctorate in Education and Master Municipal Clerk certification; served as a mentor to women becoming judges and supporting veterans, cancer survivors, and community outreach programs.
