Thomas E. Yarrington passed away on December 7, 2024, and the Illinois Senate mourns his death.

Born May 10, 1932, in Newellton, Louisiana to Emily Bass and Thomas Yarrington; attended Tensas Rosenwald High School and Grambling University before serving in the United States Army from 1954 to 1956.

Worked for multiple companies including The Campbell Soup Co. (35 years before retiring in 1988), Sears Roebuck & Co., CHA Security, and The Red Carpet Carwash.

Was a loyal member of Calvary Baptist Church in Glenwood and is survived by three daughters, three grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, four special daughters, four siblings, and numerous nieces, nephews, and close friends.

The Senate extends sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him.
