Bradley L. "Brad" Phegley passed away on December 6, 2024, and was born April 10, 1957, in Shelbyville to Jack Adrian and D. Kathryn (Alday) Phegley.

Dedicated 28 years to the Illinois State Police and also served as a Shelby County deputy sheriff, chief deputy coroner for eight years, and coroner for four years.

Worked for over 25 years at Lockart-Green Funeral Homes and was a member of Windsor Christian Church, Altamont Masonic Lodge #533, and the Shelbyville Horseshoe Club.

Enjoyed pickleball, beekeeping, horseshoes, hunting, camping, fishing, scuba diving, and piloting aircraft; was an avid Chicago sports fan.

The Illinois Senate expresses condolences to his surviving family including son Brent Phegley, sister Debbie Maretti, significant other Michelle "Shellie" Weber, and extended family members.
