Amends the Illinois Pension Code to allow annuitants receiving benefits under Section 7-142.1 who return to work as school security guards to work up to 999 hours annually before being considered a participating employee and having their annuity suspended

Currently, most annuitants who return to work for a participating employer are considered participating employees if they work more than 599 hours annually (or 999 hours for employers that have adopted a specific resolution)

The new provision creates a specific exception for school security guards, setting their return-to-work threshold at 999 hours annually regardless of whether the employer has adopted the higher-threshold resolution

Takes effect immediately upon becoming law
