Committed persons in Department of Corrections facilities may request transfer to another institution or facility every 12 months

Department staff must consider programmatic needs and visitation hardships when evaluating transfer requests to ensure placement best suited to the committed person's case plan

Committed persons in Department of Juvenile Justice facilities, or their parent/guardian, may request transfer to another institution or facility at any time (no waiting period)

Amends the Unified Code of Corrections, specifically Sections 3-8-4 and 3-10-4 governing intradivisional transfers
