Lowers the minimum age for firefighter employment from 21 to 18 years old in Illinois municipalities and fire protection districts

Amends three sections of Illinois law: two sections of the Illinois Municipal Code (65 ILCS 5/10-1-7.1 and 65 ILCS 5/10-2.1-6.3) and one section of the Fire Protection District Act (70 ILCS 705/16.06b)

Applies to full-time firefighter positions in affected fire departments across the state, excluding municipalities with more than 1,000,000 inhabitants (Chicago)

Maintains all other existing eligibility requirements, including the maximum age limit of 35 for taking firefighter examinations and requirements for mental aptitude, physical ability, and moral character
