Requires group and individual health insurance policies and managed care plans amended, delivered, issued, or renewed on or after January 1, 2026 to cover medically necessary anesthesia services for any covered procedure, regardless of duration

Prohibits insurers from denying payment or reimbursement for anesthesia services solely because the duration of care exceeded a preset time limit

Extends this anesthesia coverage requirement to State Employee Group Insurance, self-insured counties, self-insured municipalities, and school district employee health plans

Applies to Health Maintenance Organizations (HMOs), Limited Health Service Organizations, and Voluntary Health Services Plans through amendments to their governing statutes

Exempts health care plans under contract with the Department of Healthcare and Family Services (Medicaid managed care) from the anesthesia coverage requirements
