Raises the age at which drivers must renew their license in person from 75 to 79 years old

Increases the age requiring an actual driving demonstration test for license renewal from 75 to 87 years old for non-commercial drivers

Maintains the requirement that commercial driver's license (CDL) holders age 75 and older must complete an actual driving demonstration test for renewal

Expands the Secretary of State's authority to require physical, mental, or driving examinations when there is good cause to believe a licensed driver is incompetent or unqualified

Allows immediate family members (spouse, parent, grandparent, sibling, or child) to submit written reports to the Secretary of State regarding a person's medical condition that may interfere with their ability to drive safely

Takes effect July 1, 2026
