Prohibits Illinois school boards from allowing schools to use Native American names, logos, or mascots, including terms like Redskins, Braves, Chiefs, Indians, and imagery such as feathered headdresses, tomahawks, and arrowheads

Schools may continue using existing uniforms and materials with prohibited imagery purchased before the effective date until September 1, 2030, provided they adopt a new name/mascot by July 1, 2026

Schools using the name of a federally recognized tribe or historical Native American person may continue use if they obtain written consent from that tribe's elected legislative body, renewed every 5 years

Tribal consent agreements must include educational partnerships providing meaningful learning opportunities about Native American culture and policies prohibiting stereotypical imagery or behaviors in schools

Prohibited imagery on permanent structures must be removed during normal maintenance or remodeling cycles; no new purchases of prohibited materials allowed after the effective date of July 1, 2026
