Establishes the School Resource Officer Grant Program through the State Board of Education to fund salaries and other costs for hiring active or retired law enforcement officers as school resource officers

Schools and school districts that hire active or retired law enforcement officers as school resource officers are eligible for reimbursement through the grant program

Expands the definition of "school resource officer" to include any active or retired law enforcement officer qualified under federal law to carry a concealed weapon

Program implementation is subject to appropriation, and the State Board of Education may adopt rules for grant distribution
