IL HB1354

Requires all Illinois health care facilities to permit one next of kin of a patient on life support to remain at the patient's bedside regardless of regular visitation hours

Defines "next of kin" in priority order: spouse first, then parent, then child, then sibling—limited to only one person at a time

Allows health care facilities to implement reasonable policies promoting health, safety, and welfare of the next of kin, patient, employees, and other patients without revoking the bedside visitation right

Amends the Medical Patient Rights Act (410 ILCS 50/3.2) to add this new visitation protection as subsection (a-20)
