Amends Section 356z.73 of the Illinois Insurance Code regarding insurance coverage for dependent parents

Requires group or individual accident and health insurance policies issued, amended, delivered, or renewed after January 1, 2026 to offer dependent coverage to parents or stepparents of the insured who qualify as a "qualifying relative" under federal tax code (26 U.S.C. 152(d)) and live within the policy's service area

Adds student health insurance coverage to the list of exemptions from this requirement

Exempts specialized health care service plans, Medicare supplement insurance, hospital-only policies, accident-only policies, and specified disease insurance policies from the dependent parent coverage mandate

Takes effect immediately upon becoming law
