Requires the Illinois Department of Transportation to name a highway under its jurisdiction when directed to do so by a single chamber of the General Assembly

A majority vote of the elected members of either the House or Senate would be sufficient to mandate the highway naming

Amends the Illinois Highway Code by adding a new Section 4-101.17

Removes the need for full legislative approval (both chambers) for highway naming designations
