Extends weekday hours for permanent early voting polling places from 8:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. (or 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.), changing from the current closing times of 4:30 p.m. or 5:00 p.m.

The extended evening hours would apply during the 15-day period before an election through the day before election day

Maintains existing weekend and holiday hours: 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Saturdays and holidays, and 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Sundays during the final 8 days before election day

Amends Section 19A-15 of the Election Code (10 ILCS 5/19A-15)
