Amends the Mental Health and Developmental Disabilities Code regarding notification requirements when a person is determined to pose a clear and present danger to themselves or others

Requires law enforcement officials and school administrators to notify both the Illinois State Police and the appropriate local law enforcement agency within 24 hours of making a danger determination (previously only required notification to Illinois State Police)

Physicians, clinical psychologists, and qualified examiners must continue to notify the Department of Human Services within 24 hours when making such determinations

Information disclosed under this section remains privileged and confidential, with protections against redisclosure except as required under the Firearm Owners Identification Card Act

Provides liability protection for those making or not making required notifications, except in cases of willful or wanton misconduct
