Adds LGBTQ+ inclusivity as a required topic in the mandatory 4-hour professional development training for all voting school board members during their first year of service

Requires the LGBTQ+ training to cover specific topics including: differences between sex, gender, gender identity, and sexual orientation; sexual orientation and gender identity development in youth; rights of LGBTQ+ students under Illinois law; diverse family structures; and risks of outing students

Mandates the State Board of Education to either develop the LGBTQ+ training program in collaboration with LGBTQ+-affirming organizations with expertise in supporting LGBTQ+ youth, or adopt an existing program from such organizations

Requires periodic review and updates of the LGBTQ+ inclusivity training by the State Board of Education in collaboration with qualified organizations

Cites research from The Trevor Project showing LGBTQ+ youth with at least one accepting adult were 40% less likely to report a suicide attempt in the past year
