Prohibits life insurance companies from denying, limiting, or charging different rates for final expense policies (funeral and burial insurance) solely because an applicant or insured has been convicted of a felony

Defines "final expense policy" as a policy marketed and sold exclusively to cover funeral and burial costs

Does not require insurers to provide coverage to individuals who are actively incarcerated due to a felony conviction

Amends Section 236 of the Illinois Insurance Code, which already prohibits discrimination based on disability, blindness, military status, and lawful travel history
