Prohibits life insurance companies from seeking or requesting genetic testing information from applicants or policyholders

Allows insurers to consider genetic test results for life insurance only if the individual voluntarily submits them and the results are favorable to the individual

Extends existing genetic information protections for health insurance to now also cover life insurance policies

Requires life insurers to comply with the Genetic Information Privacy Act when issuing, amending, renewing policies, processing claims, denying coverage, or setting premiums and rates

Amends both the Genetic Information Privacy Act (410 ILCS 513/20) and the Illinois Insurance Code (215 ILCS 5/224.5)
