IL HB2753

Amends the Property Tax Code for counties with 3,000,000 or more inhabitants (Cook County) using accelerated billing for property taxes

Extends the first installment delinquency date from March 1 to April 1 if tax bills are not mailed by January 31

Extends the second installment delinquency date from August 1 to September 1 when first installment bills are mailed late

Interest rate on delinquent taxes remains at 1.5% per month (or 0.75% per month for tax year 2023 and after)

Takes effect immediately upon becoming law
