Amends the Medical Practice Act of 1987 to require the Department of Financial and Professional Regulation to review medical license applications concurrently with controlled substances registration applications

Mandates that the Department issue both the medical license and controlled substances registration at the same time rather than as separate processes

Streamlines the licensing process for physicians who need both credentials to practice and prescribe controlled substances

Takes effect immediately upon becoming law
