Creates new special registration plates designated as "Air Medal plates" to honor Illinois residents who have received the Air Medal military decoration

Plates may be affixed to passenger vehicles, motorcycles, and motor vehicles weighing 8,000 pounds or less

Secretary of State will determine eligibility requirements and acceptable documentation for applicants

Plates will display the Air Medal image, with design and color details left to the Secretary's discretion; plates may be personalized or issued as vanity plates

Plates are not required to include the "Land of Lincoln" designation and will follow the state's multi-year registration expiration schedule
