IL HB2849

Prohibits mobile home park owners from requiring tenants to pay for utility services (water, sewer, trash) used in common areas when a public utility company charges for those services

Limits tenant charges to no more than 80% of the public utility bill when common area utility usage is not separately metered

Requires park owners to provide tenants with an annual written explanation of how their share of utility charges was calculated

Mandates park owners provide copies of monthly utility bills to tenants upon request for any separately billed utility charges
