Extends the standard response time for public bodies to comply with or deny Freedom of Information Act requests from 5 business days to 15 business days

Increases the allowable extension period for complex requests from 5 business days to 10 business days (for reasons such as records stored off-site, extensive searches required, or need for consultation with other agencies)

Changes the response deadline for commercial purpose records requests from 21 working days to 30 business days

Public bodies that fail to respond within required timeframes cannot charge fees for copies provided late and cannot claim the request is unduly burdensome
