Amends the Consumer Fraud and Deceptive Business Practices Act to require businesses to disclose when consumers are interacting with AI systems rather than human representatives

Makes it unlawful for businesses to use chatbots, AI agents, avatars, or other conversational computer technology in commercial transactions without clear notification to consumers

Applies when the AI communication could mislead a reasonable consumer into believing they are speaking with a human

Violation occurs regardless of whether a consumer is actually misled, deceived, or damaged by the interaction

Effective January 1, 2026
