Requires the State Board of Education to create guidelines for students enrolled in peer-support courses who serve as student aides to children with disabilities

Defines "student aide" as a student enrolled in a course to assist educators, paraprofessionals, or provide mentorship and support to student peers, including teaching assistants, peer helpers, and peer tutors

Guidelines must include education on common cognitive and physical disabilities and accommodations under the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990

Student aides must receive training on skills to support fellow students, classroom management strategies, best practices and ethics for peer support, and appropriate etiquette when interacting with special education students

Guidelines must also address methods for educators to assess student aide proficiency and establish relevant learning standards and expectations for student aides
