Amends the Child Care Act of 1969 to require mandatory radon mitigation for licensed day care centers, day care homes, and group day care homes when radon levels exceed 4.0 pCi/L, effective July 1, 2026

Facilities with radon levels at or above 4.0 pCi/L but below 8.0 pCi/L must create a corrective action plan that includes long-term radon tests demonstrating levels have been reduced below 4.0 pCi/L

Facilities with radon levels exceeding 8.0 pCi/L face stricter requirements: initial license applicants must complete mitigation before receiving a license, and renewal applicants must close operations until levels reach 4.0 pCi/L or lower

Mitigation must be conducted according to industry standards

Existing law already requires these facilities to test for radon every 3 years, post results near their license, and provide copies to parents upon request
