Prohibits all employers in Illinois from entering into covenants not to compete or covenants not to solicit with any employee, effective January 1, 2026

Declares any non-compete or non-solicitation agreement entered into on or after January 1, 2026 as illegal and void, regardless of where or when the agreement was signed

Bars employers from attempting to enforce void non-compete or non-solicitation contracts even if the contract was signed and employment occurred outside of Illinois

Removes existing exemptions that previously allowed non-competes for employees earning above $75,000 and non-solicitation agreements for employees earning above $45,000

Repeals provisions related to legitimate business interest requirements, employee notification obligations, and court reformation of non-compete and non-solicitation covenants
