Requires group and individual health insurance policies, managed care plans, and HMOs to cover medically necessary laser hair removal when prescribed as medical treatment in accordance with generally accepted standards of medical care, effective January 1, 2027

Adds the laser hair removal coverage requirement (Section 356z.80) to the list of mandated health benefits under the State Employees Group Insurance Act, applying to state employee health plans

Extends the coverage mandate to self-insured counties and municipalities, including home rule units, as well as school district employee health insurance plans

Exempts Medicaid managed care plans (those providing services under Article V of the Illinois Public Aid Code) from the laser hair removal coverage requirement under the Health Maintenance Organization Act

Applies the requirement to limited health service organizations and voluntary health services plan corporations through amendments to their respective governing statutes
