IL HB3270

Amends the Counties Code to automatically apply stormwater management provisions to all Illinois counties containing an urbanized area (population of at least 50,000), unless already covered by other stormwater management sections of the Code

Removes the previous requirement that voters approve a referendum before a county board could establish a stormwater management planning council

Eliminates the specific listing of named metropolitan counties (Madison, St. Clair, Monroe, Kankakee, Grundy, LaSalle, DeKalb, Kendall, and Boone) that were previously designated for these provisions

Retains all existing stormwater management authorities including planning committees, countywide plans, property tax levies up to 0.20%, and fee schedules for new development
