IL HB3301

Amends the Election Code to make it unlawful to intimidate, threaten, coerce, or use violence against election workers performing their duties or individuals lawfully present at polling places and vote canvassing locations

Defines "election worker" as election officials, poll workers, or election volunteers involved in administering local, state, or federal elections

Election-related duties covered include voter registration, creating and processing ballots, operating polling places and early voting sites, tabulating votes, and certifying election results

First offense violation is a Class A misdemeanor; second or subsequent offense within 3 years of a prior conviction is a Class 4 felony
