Extends the sunset date for the Hearing Instrument Consumer Protection Act from January 1, 2026 to January 1, 2028, allowing the regulatory framework for hearing aid dispensers to continue operating

Limits applicants to taking the written licensing examination no more than 4 times in any consecutive 12-month period

Changes trainee licenses from non-renewable to renewable, allowing a one-time 6-month extension beyond the initial 12-month trainee license period

Trainees must work under direct supervision of a licensed hearing instrument dispenser or audiologist, who remains responsible for all work performed by the trainee
