Defines "specific and immediate need" to include conducting background checks during employee onboarding and verifying work eligibility through I-9 Employment Eligibility Verification forms

Explicitly excludes patient intake paperwork at healthcare facilities from qualifying as a "specific and immediate need" unless required by state or federal law

Amends Section 45 of the Personal Information Protection Act (815 ILCS 530/45)
