Requires school districts to provide a minimum of 3 hours of instruction for students in grades 7-12 on public safety and police engagement, beginning with the 2027-2028 school year, contingent on available public or private funding

Requires teaching students how to respond to police encounters, including understanding police perspectives, why commands are given, and how to engage officers in a respectful manner while maintaining personal safety

Includes instruction on aftermath of police encounters, covering how to obtain information about what occurred and proper procedures for filing complaints

Authorizes the State Board of Education to prepare and distribute resource materials to school boards as guidelines for developing the curriculum
