Creates a task force within the Department of Corrections to study Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) requirements in correctional institutions and facilities, specifically for aging incarcerated persons serving life sentences

Task force will consist of up to 22 members appointed by the Director of Corrections, including representatives from county jails, community health service providers, disability rights organizations, the general public (at least one with a disability), and the Department of Corrections

Members serve without compensation or expense reimbursement and must represent the geographic diversity of Illinois

Task force must study the number of incarcerated individuals with disabilities (including sight, hearing, and mobility issues), current accommodations, unmet needs, and facility deficiencies in ADA accessibility

Recommendations for changes to ADA standards in correctional facilities must be submitted to the General Assembly by July 1, 2026
