Amends the Affordable Housing Planning and Appeal Act to add legislative findings recognizing the "missing middle" - households earning 80% to 140% of area median income - and the importance of studying housing affordability gaps for this population

Requires the Illinois Housing Development Authority (IHDA) to calculate and track housing units affordable to extremely low-income households (at or below 30% of area median income)

Requires IHDA to calculate and track "missing middle" housing units affordable to households earning 80-140% of median income for owner-occupied units and 60-140% for rentals

IHDA must publish this new housing affordability data for each local government and statewide at least every 5 years and submit a compiled report to the General Assembly

The new data collection is for informational purposes only and does not affect which local governments are exempt from affordable housing planning requirements under the Act
