Amends the Rights of Crime Victims and Witnesses Act to require law enforcement agencies to inform crime victims of their ability to file complaints against individuals licensed by the Department of Financial and Professional Regulation

The information about filing complaints against licensed professionals must be included in the written statement of rights that law enforcement provides to victims within 48 hours of initial contact

Victims must sign and date an acknowledgement sheet confirming they received information about their rights, including this new complaint-filing option

Targets situations where crimes may be committed by licensed professionals such as doctors, nurses, therapists, or other regulated practitioners
