Extends the sunset date for the Illinois Physical Therapy Act from January 1, 2026 to January 1, 2031, allowing the regulatory framework for physical therapists and physical therapist assistants to continue operating

Transfers administrative authority from the "Director" to the "Secretary" of Financial and Professional Regulation throughout the Act, and updates references to reflect the Department of Financial and Professional Regulation

Adds new requirements for licensees to provide and maintain current address and email address of record with the Department, with changes to be reported within 14 days

Establishes a $50 fine for returned checks or payments, with automatic license termination if fees and fines are not paid within 30 days of notification

Makes various technical and language updates including gender-neutral terminology, clarifies communication requirements for physical therapists treating patients with chronic diseases, and removes obsolete provisions related to the 2016 Olympic and Paralympic Games licensing exemption
