School districts must respond within 14 school days of receiving a written request for a federal Section 504 plan, determining whether clinical information supports the need, whether further evaluation is needed, or whether no basis exists for a plan

Districts must provide written notice explaining the rationale if they decide not to grant eligibility or conduct an evaluation

If an evaluation is agreed upon, a meeting with parents must occur within 14 school days, and a team will identify necessary assessments

For students with documented medical threats requiring an individualized health care plan, the Section 504 team must meet within 5 school days to consider an interim plan, with accommodations implemented within 5 school days after approval

Defines health care provider as a licensed physician, physician assistant, or advanced practice registered nurse; does not supersede existing requirements in the Care of Students with Diabetes Act or Seizure Smart School Act
