Prohibits collection of driver's license information if it may be used to discriminate against the individual

Requires any person or entity collecting driver's license information to disclose to the individual that their information is being collected, which may take the form of written consent

Grants individuals the right to request and receive a copy of any driver's license information collected about them

Existing law already limits driver's license information use to identification or completing commercial transactions and prohibits selling or leasing the data to third parties

Violations entitle individuals to actual damages or $250 minimum liquidated damages per violation, plus attorney's fees and court costs
