Prohibits hospitals with emergency departments from using health care kiosks to assess patients' medical conditions, determine injury/illness priority levels, or perform any triage functions

Defines "health care kiosk" as a self-service terminal using a touchscreen or keyboard that allows patients to independently manage administrative and some clinical tasks

Permits health care kiosks to be used only for data entry of patients' personal identifying information and billing information as a replacement for paper forms

Applies restrictions to both hospitals licensed under the Hospital Licensing Act and University of Illinois Hospital emergency departments

Effective January 1, 2027
