IL HB4242

Amends the Abused and Neglected Child Reporting Act to require DCFS to include a detailed list of all appeal process steps and a checklist of required appeal documents when notifying alleged perpetrators of abuse/neglect findings

Requires DCFS to send copies of all investigation information obtained during the case to the alleged perpetrator, parents, and guardians of the alleged child victim when issuing final determinations

Case information must be provided either electronically or by regular U.S. mail, concurrent with the written notification of the final determination

Information sharing is limited to materials not otherwise prohibited from disclosure under State or federal law

Applies to cases where the Child Protective Service Unit has made a final determination that a report is "indicated" or "unfounded"
