Requires all Illinois school districts with grades 9-12 to provide eligible graduating high school students the opportunity to register to vote, beginning with the 2026-2027 school year

Applies to both regular school districts and Chicago Public Schools (Article 34 districts)

May be referred to as the "Reverend Jesse Jackson, Sr. Young Voter Empowerment Law"

Takes effect immediately upon becoming law

State Mandates Act may require reimbursement to school districts for implementation costs
