IL HB4425

Prohibits hospitals, hospital-affiliated individuals, and hospital contractors from releasing information related to persons or entities that allow children to receive gender-affirming health care or mental health care in response to civil or criminal actions based on other states' laws.

Extends the same prohibition on information release to health insurance issuers, including accident and health insurance policies.

Applies protections specifically against foreign subpoenas and legal actions from states that authorize civil suits against those who allow minors to access gender-affirming care.

Amends multiple Illinois statutes including the Hospital Licensing Act, University of Illinois Hospital Act, Illinois Insurance Code, State Employees Group Insurance Act, Counties Code, Illinois Municipal Code, School Code, and Illinois Public Aid Code.
