Expands eligibility for sentence credit for inmates who completed substance abuse programs during pre-trial detention, removing the previous requirement that programs be "full-time, 60-day or longer"

Allows sentence credit for inmates who participated in supervised community work or activities prior to commitment to the Department of Corrections

Permits sentence credit for re-entry planning that is "facilitated" by county corrections, jails, or other providers, rather than only programs directly "provided" by those entities

Creates new sentence credit of up to 0.5 days for each day an inmate engaged in self-improvement programs, volunteer work, or work assignments during pre-trial detention that do not otherwise qualify for credit

Amends Section 3-6-3 of the Unified Code of Corrections (730 ILCS 5/3-6-3) governing Department of Corrections rules for awarding sentence credit
