Requires the Illinois Law Enforcement Training Standards Board to conduct or approve specialized training programs, including continuing education requirements, for law enforcement officers serving as juvenile officers

Officers must complete the training program and receive a certificate from the Board before being assigned as juvenile officers or continuing in that role

The Board must establish eligibility requirements for officers entering the initial juvenile officer training program

Amends the Juvenile Court Act of 1987 to define "juvenile police officer" as a sworn police officer who meets eligibility requirements and has completed the required continuing educational requirements
